Rolly’s Tavern on the Square opened June 8, 2005, by its owners Wendy Meninno Hayes and Rolly Hayes. Wendy runs the front of the house and Rolly runs the kitchen and brings with him Five Star restaurant experience from Minnesota to Maine. Thanks to many loyal customers, Rolly’s is now in their seventh year and still growing despite the poor economic climate.

The Hayes have strong ties to the Lynn area. Wendy’s family, the Meninno’s, have been in business in Lynn for over 70 years.

Chef-owned and operated, Rolly’s Tavern is a full-service family restaurant. It’s a great place to enjoy a sports game at the bar, a special dinner out, or an easy and fun family dining experience. The menu is an evolving delight, with Rolly adding an occasional recipe. Your feedback on the menu is welcome. Due to popular demand, the Tavern is now open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.

Rolly’s mission is to provide the best dining experience possible for our customers. We buy only the very freshest and best products available and prepare every dish to order. We use zero trans-fat oil in our fryolators to cook the New England seafood classics. The Tavern’s fish is purchased off Boston’s docks and all the meat comes from the same supplier. Consistency is something that you will always find at Rolly’s.

One of Rolly’s original specials is the Thursday night Prime Rib, which always sells out—come in early and get it while it lasts-now it has been added to the Tuesday night menu as well. The Friday night Baked Haddock was so popular it has been added to the daily menu.

In 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 Rolly’s Tavern was voted “Best Casual Restaurant”, “Best Burger” and “Best Wait staff” by Market Surveys of America. This year, the Boston Globe Magazine awarded Rolly’s Tavern the “TOP 45 Sandwiches” award. Stop in and see why!
